Witkoff's Ocean Terrace Faces Construction Setback After Accident

A construction worker was hospitalized following a partial collapse at Witkoff's Ocean Terrace project in Miami Beach. The incident took place on Friday morning at 7430 Ocean Terrace. The building's structural engineer was present at the site during the assessment.

The injured worker was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Details about the worker's condition remain undisclosed. The building was empty at the time of the accident.

Ocean Terrace is a two-story structure that dates back to 1951. Originally, it served as a motel with 39 units. The site is currently undergoing redevelopment.

A notice of commencement has been filed for the project. However, the recent incident raises concerns about safety protocols on the site. Construction companies face scrutiny after accidents, often leading to delays and heightened inspections.

Witkoff has not released a statement regarding the accident. The company is known for its real estate developments across various markets, including Miami. The Ocean Terrace project is part of its broader strategy in the region.

As construction continues, the site will likely see increased oversight as investigators assess the cause of the collapse. The timeline for the project's completion may shift as a result of this incident.
